We are from Damascus, Syria. I travelled with my wife, my niece, my grandson and my granddaughter. From Turkey we wanted to go to Bulgaria but it was not possible. We used to live in Bulgaria for ten years, my wife and I speak Bulgarian fluently. I had my company in Bulgaria, selling and repairing electronics. Then the war in Syria started and I had to go back home to take care of the whole family. After we arrange our papers here, we want to go to Bulgaria, my wife feels more comfortable in a place where she speaks the language. My grandson is very quick learning languages. He has learned some Serbian and Bulgarian from me and already speaks a few words of German.

Boryana Ivanova launched REFUGEE VOICE as an attempt to humanise the discussion on refugees and change the often negative perceptions that people have towards them. REFUGEE VOICE wants to show that every person has their worries and their dreams.
